The flute studio is a very close group of students. Many end up rooming together for their entire college career. We have an end of the semester social events and an annual kick-ball tournament against the clarinet studio. We have not been too successful in those games, but we keep trying! The studio has also traveled to and participated in different flute events throughout the state.
Each flute student at Illinois State takes lessons from the professor. Tone, technique, and many other skills for professional playing are focused on each week and built upon as the student progresses.
