Theatre of Ted Fundraising
You can make a secure online donation here to the Theatre of Ted Fundraising Account, through the Illinois State University Foundation.
Last year, as the culmination of years of work and contributions from people like you, Theatre of Ted was able to endow a $25,000 scholarship that will begin helping students in the fall of 2013.
Now they're shifting their efforts temporarily to help with the incredible new Fine Arts Complex Building Project. The State of Illinois has started a $54 million project to build/renovate our fine arts facilities at Illinois State University. While that money will go a long way to build some wonderful spaces, it will not cover equiping those spaces.
Theatre of Ted wants to insure that there is a good, equipped space for student-organized arts activities (like Theatre of Ted, Improv Mafia, FreeStage, etc.), and so for the duration of the building project, their fundraising efforts will go toward that specific project: equipping a student-based performance space.
Four-Square Marathon
While donations to Theatre of Ted fundraising are welcomed all year, in the spring the students make an extra push with their annual Four-Square Marathon fundraiser, (which will begin on April 18 at 5 pm and go until April 21, 2013). Students play through the night - there's food and entertainment (and some studying). The current record for the marathon is 67 hours straight. Individuals come and go as necessary.
We have student groups raising money in order to reach our goal of $10,000. If you know someone on a group, you can give them credit by adding their group number as the number of cents to your donation.
In other words, if you're donating $50.00, make the donation $50.17 and it will be credited to group #17. Donate $100 or more and you'll get a ball like the one pictured at right. Donations are tax-deductible.
