For nearly half a century the Concert Choir, whose membership totals between forty and fifty singers, has maintained the highest standards of choral art, and has received acclaim throughout Illinois and the Midwest. The Concert Choir performs often during the academic year in addition to touring regularly and performing at state and regional music and education conferences. Its repertoire encompasses the entire spectrum of choral literature. Primarily for sophomores and above, a high level of music literacy is required. Auditions are held at the beginning of each semester; membership for the academic year is highly encouraged. Dr. Karyl Carlson, Director.
Concert Choir auditions will be held on Aug. 21 in CH 109. A sign-up sheet with times will be available the week before, located by CH 109.
Choral ensemble placement auditions occur just before school begins in August. The audition music will be available August 1st in the Milner Library Course Reserves.
