A capella Groups
All a capella groups at Illinois State University are Registered Student Organizations (RSO's). Each group is operated and managed by the students themselves. The groups perform individual concerts and well as join together for combined concerts throughout the year.
The Acafellaz began in 1999 with a quartet of ambitious men at Illinois State and expanded to a larger group within the first year. Their lively performances make for a great addition to your school's events or ISU campus events.
The Clef Hangers
Clef Hangers is the first mixed vocal a cappella group at Illinois State University founded in August 2008 by a small group of ambitious students who shared a passion for a cappella music. Since its formation, the group has lost and gained various members, each of whom has helped make the group what it is today.
On the Brink of Normal
On the Brink of Normal (OTBON) is Illinois State University's first a capella jazz ensemble and second mixed a capella ensemble on campus. This group was established as a vocal jazz group in 2011.
Secondary Dominance is Illinois State University's all-female a capella group.
