Darby Wilde

Biography

DarbyWilde is an Associate Professor in the School of Theatre and Dance at IllinoisState University and the Head of the Dance Program. Wilde earned her M.F.A. in Dance from theUniversity of Michigan and immediately following began her performance careerwith Eisenhower Dance Ensemble (nowEisenhower Dance Detroit). During her tenure with the company she was involvedin numerous outreach residency programs in elementary/middle schools throughoutMichigan, in addition to region and national touring.

She was on faculty at Collin College, located in Plano,Texas where a scholarship was awarded in her name. While in Texas, sheperformed with Elledanceworks. Inaddition, she has been on faculty at Oakland University, Mercer CountyPerforming Arts High School, Illinois Wesleyan University and the Great LakesDance Festival. Ms. Wilde has premieredworks in Nicosia, Cyprus, Michigan, Texas and New Jersey. Wilde is currently serving as an ACDA Boardmember.
