2016 Program- Hansel & Gretel
For this special performance of Hansel and Gretel, the audience members will receive packets about what opera is, why it is an important part of our artistic life and details about the music, history, story and characters of the piece. We will also have signers at the performance for hearing impaired audience members. This event is wheelchair accessible.
This year’s production is in English with English super-titles and will have a total running time of one hour and thirty minutes.
This production will be in conjunction with the Midwest Institute of Opera Summer Opera Season and features the MIO Children's Chorus. Funding to make this production possible has been provided by private donors, The Harmon Arts Grant, the Illinois Prairie Community Foundation Grant and generous contributions by Ron and Joan Kanoski and Patricia Sheridan.
If your group is within the Bloomington-Normal city limits we can also provide the group with FREE bus transportation to and from this event.
