Prit Supasetsiri
With his M.F.A. in Theatre design from Illinois State University, Prit has evolved theatre design to a new era in Thailand both in education and professional areas.
His leadership role in theatre in Thailand was a consequence of the concepts and knowledge he cultivated from the School of Theatre of Dance at Illinois State University. His work in the faculty of Fine Arts and COllege of Social Communication at Srinakharinwirot University leads the nation in terms of higher education in theatre areas such as acting and directing, costume design, scenic design, dance, and television.
He is now a well known expert in theatre and theatre design areas in Thailand.
- 38 years of experience in teaching in higher education level in the area of THai Language and Literature, Theatre History, Theatre Design, Arts and Art Education including Arts and Cultural Research.
- 7 years of experience in professional television programming (as a scriptwriter, acting coach, assistant director and art director).
- One of team who set up “College of FIne Arts” for Srinakharinwirot University
- Set up Department of Performing Arts and Performing Arts Curriculum for Faculty of Fine Arts, Srinakharinwirot University, Bangkok THailand which is the only university in Thailand that has offered a B.F.A. in Theatre design until now. The department of Performing Arts at Srinakharinwirot University is the most popular and famous for Theatre programs in Thailand.
- Set up the College of Social Communication Innovation (COSCI), Srinakharinwirot University which now gets the 2nd and 3rd runner up of the highest competition for admission to the programs among all universities in THailand. At the present, COSCI is one of the most popular, famous, and successful Colleges within Srinakharinwirot University.
