Applying to BFA in Graphic Design
First-year incoming students are not eligible to apply to the BFA in Graphic Design and must initially pursue the BA/BS in Graphic Design. Interested students may apply to the BFA in Graphic Design during second semester sophomore year.
Applying to Illinois State
Students seeking to pursue any Art major besides Art History must submit a portfolio as part of their application.

Applying to BFA in Graphic Design
Transfer students seeking admission to the BFA in Graphic Design must successfully complete a specialized portfolio review conducted by our Graphic Design faculty.
Portfolio Requirements
For the specialized portfolio requirements for the BFA in Graphic Design applications, please email Art@IllinoisState.edu.
Submission Deadline
Applications are due on March 1, annually.
