Saturday Morning Creative Visual Art

Children creatively express individual thoughts and ideas using a variety of materials and processes while learning about art and artists from various countries and cultures.

Saturday morning workshops are taught by Wonsook Kim School of Art and Design art education majors each fall.

Visual Art Classes

Saturdays Fall 2026

September 19, 26; October 3, 10, 17, 31 and November 7
(There are no classes on October 24 due to Illinois State University Homecoming)

9:30-11:20 a.m.

Center for the Visual Arts

Grades: K-8

Sessions are taught in nine different groups where students will participate based on their grade.

Children enrolled in this program will meet between 9:15-9:30 a.m. to be escorted to their class. Please no earlier.

Due to construction around the CVA building this year, parking guidelines will be more fluid than usual. Instruction will be provided in advance.

Registration Fee

The registration fee is $50. Families can receive a discounted rate of $40 for additional children.

  • Refund Policy

    A $25 service fee for each class registration will be assessed for students withdrawing before classes begin. No refunds will be given after classes begin. A refund will be given if there is insufficient enrollment. No refunds will be offered in the event of a cancellation. Illinois State University’s liability is limited to the registration fees of the program.
