Anne Dervin

Biography
Dr. Anne Dervin is active as a solo clarinetist, chamber and orchestral player, teacher, and researcher. She appears regularly in recitals and performances.
She is currently a member of the Heartland Festival Orchestra and has performances with Peoria Symphony. She has been a member of the Long Bay Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle, and performed frequently with North Carolina Symphony. As an advocate of new music she frequently performs on regional and national new music festivals including North American Saxophone Alliance Biennial and regional Conferences, International Clarinet Association Clarinetfest, and Red Note New Music Festival. Her research interests include music of the Holocaust and musicians’ health.
She is currently Instructional Assistant Professor of clarinet, world music, chamber music, and general studies at Illinois State University. She enjoys regularly teaching within the Honors Program at Illinois State.
