Biography
Dr. Amy Fuller, soprano, received her Bachelor of Music degree in Opera Performance from the Hartt School of Music in CT., and her M.M and D.M.A degrees in voice performance/literature with a minor in music history from the University of Illinois. Amy was a teaching 'artist in residence’ at Tongi University in Shanghai, China, an instructor at Millikin University in Decatur, IL., a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS), Pi Kappa Lambda and has been adjudicator for organizations such as ISMTA, ILMEA, and Night of Stars’ in Shanghai, China.
Prior to her Doctoral work she worked with opera companies such as the Metropolitan Opera (NY), Opera Theater of St. Louis (MO), Berkshire Opera (MA), Opera Colorado (Denver). She was a featured soloist in the Dame Myra Hess Recital Series on WFMT radio in Chicago, the Wagner Society of Washington at the German Embassy in Washington, D.C., and was heard on NPR in Stephen Paulus’s world premiere opera, The Woman at Otowi Crossing. An active sacred music musician, she performed in festivals and concerts throughout New England.
