Biography

Aukerman teaches student interns and supervises graduate students in the professional collaborative print workshop, Normal Editions. With over 25 years of master printer experience leading team projects with visiting artists and the Normal Editions Team of students and faculty, she also serves as principle investigator on numerous grants. Aukerman is an artist and printmaker active in her own studio pursuing interests in printmaking, handmade paper, artists’ books, and large installations of BookEnvirons which are collaborative works with her identical twin sister, Meda Rives Smith.
