If you are considering a career in music education, the ISU String Project provides a unique teaching and learning experience. Under the supervision of ISU string faculty, our college students become comfortable, confident, and experienced teachers in many classroom settings. Over 130 children come to our campus each week for orchestra, group class, and private lessons with our paid student teaching interns.
The ISU String Project was named the 2013 STRING PROJECT OF THE YEAR! Thanks to all of the great students, parents, supporters, and teachers who have helped build our program over the years! Dr. Ransom, Dr. Lewis, and a small group of teachers traveled to Providence, RI at the end of February to receive our award at the National Conference for the American String Teachers Association! We are SO excited and proud of our program!
We're proud of our String Project teacher alumni, who are young leaders throughout the state and country. Here are some of the positions our teaching assistants have moved on to:
ISU String Project is a member of the National String Project Consortium, an organization committed to the development and growth of string education across the nation.
