Stage Combat

The stage combat minor at Illinois State gives you certification-level training to perform staged violence for theatre, television, film, and video games.

As a student in stage combat, you'll get solid foundation in acting and all the skills you need to begin a career in the field.

Our program offers hands-on training that gives you experience in unarmed, knife, and single-sword fighting. This training can lead you to graduate as an "Advanced Actor/Combatant" through the Society of American Fight Directors.
