Overview
Students pursuing the Master of Music in Conducting are given extensive podium time and are mentored by dedicated and active conducting faculty. Upon graduation students are prepared to:
- seek their doctoral degree
- conduct school, church or community ensembles
- conduct at a community college or university
The curriculum includes:
- applied conducting
- analysis for conductors
- research
- practicum in conducting
- electives chosen from courses like non-degree recitals, music technology, music history, music theory, music education, music therapy, music business, jazz studies, ensembles, and non-music courses
